Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Note 7 at 1Co 2:12: In 1Co 2:11, Paul explained that the Holy Spirit is the only one who knows the deep things of God. Here he said we have received the Holy Spirit, therefore, we have free access to the wisdom of God.
