1 Corinthians 4:15
Next Verse

For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet [have ye] not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

Note 6 at 1 Cor. 4:15: Paul now draws on his unique relationship with the Corinthian believers to win them over to his point of view. Paul was the one who had first shared the gospel with them (Acts 18:1-18). Regardless of how many people may come after him, no one could claim to be their "father" in the gospel as Paul could.
