Note 13 at 1Co 7:33: Paul was not saying that married people are more carnal than single ones. He was simply saying that marriage increases people's physical responsibilities and makes them spend more time being occupied with the affairs of this life. If God gives people the grace to be single, they should use it to seek the Lord without distraction.
