And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.

Note 5 at 1 Cor. 8:2: This verse is a continuation of the previous sentence (see note 4 at v. 1). Paul warned against pride and exalted character and love for others above knowledge. Now he states that if an individual's knowledge has led them into pride then they haven't learned much. Learning things that build character is much more desirable than just learning information.
