1 Corinthians 9:10
Previous Verse
1 Corinthians 9:10
Next Verse

Or saith he [it] altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, [this] is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.

Note 5 at 1 Cor. 9:10: Paul is stating that the commentary just stated in verse 9 is actually written about ministers. It is right for ministers' needs to be met from the fruit of their labor.

Note 6 at 1 Cor. 9:10: Paul isn't really talking about plowing and threshing. He is saying that it is good and right for a minister to hope to receive financial benefit from his labors.
