1 Corinthians 9:22
Next Verse

To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all [men], that I might by all means save some.

Note 11 at 1 Cor. 9:22: Paul is speaking about those that are weak in the faith, i.e. still ruled by doubt and misgivings over Christian liberty. Instead of Paul condemning them, he places himself in a voluntary way under their limitations of conscience. In this way he hopes to win them fully to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
