Note 5 at 1Co 10:6: Paul was using these Israelites as an example to these Corinthian believers, yet this same thing is true for us. The stories given in Scripture about how people related to God, and the accompanying positive or negative results, are recorded for our benefit (1Co 10:11). Each individual does not have to embark on an uncharted path to find God. The process can be simplified by believing the map that God has given man (the Bible).
