But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth [is] the Lord's, and the fulness thereof:

Note 5 at 1 Cor. 10:28: When an individual violates his own standards or the standards of others unknowingly, there is no fault on his part. This should be remembered when dealing with ourselves and others. It's the motive of the heart that matters.
