1 Corinthians 10:31
Next Verse

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Note 6 at 1 Cor. 10:31: This scripture is the New Testament fulfillment of the Old Testament dietary laws. According to Colossians 2:16-17, laws restricting food and drink were shadows of New Testament realities found in Christ. The thing that the Lord was shadowing through the Old Testament laws was that even in our eating and drinking, we should be glorifying God. Therefore, there were certain foods forbidden so that as the people complied with the laws they were glorifying God through their obedience.
