After the same manner also [he took] the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink [it], in remembrance of me.

Note 3 at 1 Cor. 11:25: It is impossible to put a value on the blood of Jesus. It is the price that was paid for the redemption of the whole human race. The apostle Peter in his epistle states that silver and gold could never compare to the "precious blood of Christ" (1 Pet. 1:18-19). "For it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul" (Lev. 17:11). God has guaranteed by covenant never to remember our sins after we have accepted by faith that the blood of Jesus has covered them (Heb. 8:12-13; 9:12, 14, 26; 10:14, 16-19).

The following is a partial list of some of the things that the blood of Jesus has accomplished on our behalf: (1) It was the price that purchased us from the power of darkness (Acts 20:28; Col. 1:3-14), (2) justified us before God (Rom. 5:9), (3) sanctified us ((Heb. 13:12; 10:10, 14), (4) redeemed us (Eph. 1:7; Rev. 5:9), (5) brought us near to God (Eph. 2:13), (6) purged our conscience (Heb. 9:14), (7) provided remission and forgiveness of sins (Heb. 9:22; Eph. 1:7), (8) gives us boldness to enter into the holiest (God's presence) (Heb. 10:19), (9) cleanseth us from all sin (1 Jn. 1:7; Rev. 1:5), (10) overcomes the devil on our behalf (Rev. 12:11).
