And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

Note 6 at 1 Cor. 12:21: Although the eye could say to the hand, or the head to the feet, "I have no need of you," it would be a lie, for the different parts of the body are interdependent on each other with none being inferior. So also is the body of Christ with its different fittings and functions.
