Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

Note 7 at 1 Cor. 12:22: Most scholars agree that Paul is speaking of the internal vital organs of our bodies. No one would classify the stomach in the same class of strength as a weight lifter's bulging biceps, and yet the muscles in the arms would be nothing if it weren't for the nourishment that comes through the stomach.

Likewise, the more visible and noteworthy members of the body of Christ are dependent on that which every part of Christ's body provides (Eph. 4:16) to function at their full potential. As we strengthen other members in the body of Christ, we will increase our own effectiveness.
