That there should be no schism in the body; but [that] the members should have the same care one for another.
Note 11 at 1Co 12:25: The word "schism" refers to division. There is not supposed to be any division in the body of Christ. This is the theme with which Paul started this letter (see notes 1 and 2 at 1Co 1:10).
Note 12 at 1Co 12:25: The admonition that Jesus gave us to love our enemies and those that hate us (Mt 5:44) applies to our family in the Lord too. We should love other members of Christ's body just as we love each member of our own bodies (Eph 5:28-30).
