Note 22 at 1Co 12:30: Some people have used this verse to teach that speaking in tongues is not for every believer, since the obvious answer to this question is no. However, this is speaking about the gift of speaking in tongues that operates in a church service. Not all believers will operate in that gift, but all believers (Mr 16:17) who have been baptized in the Holy Spirit can speak in tongues in their own private prayer lives.
