1 Corinthians 15:17
Previous Verse
1 Corinthians 15:17
Next Verse

And if Christ be not raised, your faith [is] vain; ye are yet in your sins.

Note 7 at 1 Cor. 15:17: In verses 17-19, Paul is using these untrue statements to show the consequences of not believing in the resurrection (see note 3 at v. 13). However, since Jesus did rise from the dead, the positive side of each of these things is true. Our faith is not vain. We are not in our sins any longer. Our loved ones in Christ are secure because of the resurrection. And we are, of all men, most blessed.
