Note 8 at 1Co 15:26: When Jesus returns, death will be vanquished. "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" (Re 21:4). This is true for believers and unbelievers. There will be no escape from the eternity to which we commit ourselves by the choices we make in this life.
