All flesh [is] not the same flesh: but [there is] one [kind of] flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, [and] another of birds.
Note 7 at 1Co 15:39: Paul had used seeds to illustrate the resurrection (see note 4 at 1Co 15:36, note 5 at 1Co 15:37, and note 6 at 1Co 15:38), and here, he turned to animals. Man, beasts, fish, and birds all have flesh, but yet they are different. Likewise, in the resurrection, all of us will be raised immortal, but we will still be individuals with individual characteristics. Just as each star is different and yet they are all stars (1Co 15:41), so we will all have glorified bodies but they will differ one from another.
