1 Corinthians 15:39
Previous Verse
1 Corinthians 15:39
Next Verse

All flesh [is] not the same flesh: but [there is] one [kind of] flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, [and] another of birds.

Note 7 at 1 Cor. 15:39: Paul had used seeds to illustrate the resurrection (see notes 4-6 at vv. 36-38, this page), now he turns to animals. Men, beasts, fish, and birds all have flesh but yet they are different. Likewise, in the resurrection, everyone will be raised immortal but we will still be individuals with individual characteristics. Just as each star is different and yet they are all stars (v. 41), so we will all have glorified bodies, but they will differ one from another.
