Next Verse |
[There are] also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial [is] one, and the [glory] of the terrestrial [is] another.
Note 8 at 1Co 15:40: Paul was saying that there is an earthly physical body (English - "terrestrial"; Greek - "EPIGEIOS"--"worldly (physically or morally)" [Strong's Concordance]) and that there will be a glorified heavenly body (English - "celestial"; Greek - "EPOURANIOS"--"above the sky" [Strong's Concordance]). In the same way that our present physical bodies are a miraculous creation, so our glorified resurrected bodies will have their own glory. We can rest assured that God never serves dessert first. If this physical body is wonderful, the resurrected body will be even better.
