Next Verse |
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
Note 13 at 1Co 15:44: The fact that our resurrected bodies will be "spiritual" does not mean that they will be intangible. Jesus said of His resurrected spiritual body, "Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have" (Lu 24:39). He ate broiled fish and a honeycomb in His spiritual body (Lu 24:41-43). He was tangible, but He was spiritual too.
Php 3:21 says, "Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body." 1Jo 3:2 says, "It doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." Our resurrected bodies will be like Jesus' resurrected body. It will be wonderful!
