O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory?
Note 24 at 1 Cor. 15:55: Paul has been teaching on the resurrection for quite some time in this chapter. These great truths had brought him to a place where he had to release the joy that had built up on the inside of him. This is a victory shout to the Lord and a taunt to death and the grave.
