1 Corinthians 16:6
Next Verse

And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go.

Note 2 at 1 Cor. 16:6: This is Paul making a very clear reference to the Corinthians helping him financially with his travels (see note 1 at 1 Cor. 16:1, p. 968). This is not the only time or the only church he did this with (see ref. c, this verse). This solicitation for an offering comes in the same letter in which he had said he would rather die than take money from them (1 Cor. 9:15). These two "apparent" contradictory statements need to be taken in context to get Paul's real meaning (see note 5 at 1 Cor. 9:6, p. 903).
