Note 12 at 1 Th. 3:9: Paul is saying that the joy he received from Timothy's report about the Thessalonians standing strong in their faith is beyond his ability to express. The NIV translates this verse, "How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you?"
