For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
Note 6 at 1 Th.4:15: Paul is now speaking the direct word of the Lord. The bodies of those who are dead in Christ will be resurrected prior to the catching away of the Christians who are alive on the earth at that time.
