Note 12 at 1Ti 2:5: In context, the point that Paul was making is that the Lord desires for all of us to be saved through Jesus (1Ti 2:4). His statement in this verse, about "one God, and one mediator between God and men," strengthens this point. There are no other gods than our one true God, and there is no other way to our Father except through Jesus (Joh 14:6). Therefore, we must not exempt anyone from our witnessing. There is no other way to be saved (Ac 4:12).
