1 Timothy 6:16
Next Verse

Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom [be] honour and power everlasting. Amen.

Note 19 at 1 Tim. 6:16: This word "power" is not referring to ability, but rather to dominion. The Greek word that was used is "KRATOS" which means "vigor (great)" (Strong). It was translated dominion four times in the New Testament (1 Pet. 4:11; 5:11; Jude 25; and Rev. 1:6) where praise was given to God as in this instance in 1 Timothy 6:16.
