2 Corinthians 1:7
Next Verse

And our hope of you [is] stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so [shall ye be] also of the consolation.

Note 9 at 2 Cor. 1:7: Paul's hope for the Corinthians was steadfast, i.e. he knew that their suffering on behalf of Christ would be divinely rewarded. Whether or not the Corinthians ever experienced this comfort in this life would depend on what they believed.
