2 Corinthians 12:12
Next Verse

Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.

Note 3 at 2 Cor. 12:12: Just as Jesus of Nazareth was approved of God by miracles, signs, and wonders (Heb. 2:3-4), likewise God made it evident to the people that Paul was His messenger through supernatural confirmations.

Note 4 at 2 Cor. 12:12: The true signs of an apostle are not the ones that he writes for himself. God bears witness to apostles through supernatural signs, wonders and mighty deeds. True apostles don't have to "toot their own horns." The Lord does that for them to all who have "ears to hear" (see note 3 at Mt. 11:15, p. 179).
