Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
Note 8 at 2 Th. 3:9: Paul is saying that he had the right or authority to receive his living from preaching the gospel (see ref. m at v. 8). However, he chose not to use that power so he could set an example for the Thessalonians to follow.
