2 Timothy 1:2
Previous Verse
2 Timothy 1:2
Next Verse

To Timothy, [my] dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, [and] peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

Note 4 at 2 Tim. 1:2: This verse was a common greeting of the Apostle Paul's, but it is even more meaningful when you realize that he was writing to Timothy from prison. In the midst of all his persecution, there wasn't a hint of bitterness or depression in his letter. The supply of God is so much greater than any of our needs, that we can always triumph through Jesus Christ, regardless of our circumstances (2 Cor. 2:14).
