The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.

Note 14 at 2 Tim. 2:6: The old English word "husbandman" simply means "farmer" or "laborer." The NIV translates this verse as, "The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops." (See note 11 at v. 3)
