Men [and] brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
Note 7 at Acts 1:16: The Old Testament prophecy that Peter is referring to is the prophecy of verse 20. Before coming to the point, Peter mentions the same fulfillment of prophecy concerning Judas' death that Matthew later cited in Matthew 27:9.
