For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.
Note 8 at Acts 1:20: There is no one verse in the book of Psalms that contains the prophecy that Peter quotes here. Rather this is a combination of two different passages. The first part is quoted from Psalm 69:25 and the second part is probably from Psalm 109:8.
