Acts 2:37
Previous Verse
Acts 2:37
Next Verse

Now when they heard [this], they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men [and] brethren, what shall we do?

Note 1 at Acts 2:37: These people were convicted in their hearts, not their brains. We cannot argue people into salvation. We can present the arguments but the Holy Spirit has to do a work in their hearts (Jn. 6:44). It is with the heart that man believes (Rom. 10:10).
