Acts 4:13
Previous Verse
Acts 4:13
Next Verse

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

Note 7 at Acts 4:13: Boldness in the face of persecution is a testimony to the power of God at work in our lives (Prov. 28:1; Phil. 1:28).

Note 8 at Acts 4:13: In other words, they could not attribute Peter and John's boldness to anything except the fact that they had been with Jesus. The Lord doesn't mind us having an education or anything else that might make us more effective, but our lives should reflect the supernatural to such a degree that God is the only explanation for our success.

Peter and John had no education but they had the power of God. Today ministers have the education, but no power of God (2 Tim. 3:5). If our lives are not supernatural, they are superficial.
