But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back [part] of the price of the land?
Note 2 at Ac 5:3: There is no mention in these scriptures that Peter had any carnal knowledge of Ananias and Sapphira's deception. It is therefore probable that this was the working of supernatural gifts--the word of knowledge and the discerning of spirits (1Co 12:8-10)--through Peter.
