Previous Verse
Acts 5:34
Next Verse

Note 1 at Acts 5:34: This Gamaliel is only mentioned twice in scripture (here and in Acts 22:3). From these references we see that Gamaliel was a very respected doctor of the law in Jerusalem. Gamaliel's counsel to the Jewish leaders here that they should not oppose the Christians, was later thwarted by his most renown pupil, Saul who after his conversion became the Apostle Paul.
