Acts 6:8
Next Verse

And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

Note 1 at Acts 6:8: There have been some who argue that miracles stopped with the last of the apostles. In the first place, there are still apostles today (see note 2 at Lk. 6:13, p. 166; see note 1 at Mk. 3:14, p. 163) and second, Stephen was not an apostle and yet he performed miracles. This is proof that believers (Mk. 16:17; Jn. 14:12), not just apostles, can perform miracles by faith in the Lord Jesus (see note 4 at Acts 3:16, p. 586).
