Acts 7:27
Previous Verse
Acts 7:27
Next Verse

But he that did his neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us?

Note 11 at Acts 7:27: Moses, as the son of Pharaoh's daughter, was in a position of leadership over any Jew in Egypt. This man was no doubt referring to the position that Moses was seeking to occupy as the man whom God had appointed over the Israelites to lead them to independence. This means that Moses' motives for killing the Egyptian the previous day were known and rejected by the Jews.
