Previous Verse
Acts 7:30
Next Verse

And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.

Note 12 at Ac 7:30: This is the only place in Scripture to record the length of time Moses spent in the wilderness before bringing deliverance to the Israelites. It is stated in Ex 7:7 that Moses was eighty when he stood before Pharaoh, but there would be no idea as to how long Moses endured in the wilderness without this information from Stephen in Ac 7:23 and here.
