And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.

Note 3 at Ac 8:6: Luke clearly tied the tremendous response of the people to the Gospel in with the working of these miracles. Miracles are an indispensable part of the preaching of the Gospel.
