This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

Note 5 at Acts 10:16: This vision is not really dealing with clean and unclean animals but is symbolizing that the Gentiles were no longer unclean (see note 4 at v. 11, p. 630). However, the Lord did use truth to illustrate the change. It is true that the Old Testament laws concerning clean and unclean animals has been changed. Anyone who still adheres to Old Testament laws concerning clean and unclean animals is believing a doctrine of devils (1 Tim. 4:1-5). The dietary laws were symbolic (Col. 2:16-17).
