Acts 10:26
Next Verse

But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.

Note 1 at Acts 10:26: Peter refused Cornelius' worship knowing that worship is reserved for God alone (see note 2 at Mt. 8:2, p. 141) thereby setting a precedent that all ministers should adhere to. It is easy for men to think too highly of the one who brings God's Word to them, but a minister who is truly preaching Jesus will make it clear, even as Peter did, that Jesus is the only one to be worshiped.
