Acts 10:26
Next Verse

But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.

Note 1 at Ac 10:26: Peter refused Cornelius' worship, knowing that worship is reserved for God alone (see note 1 at Mt 8:2), thereby setting a precedent that all ministers should adhere to. It is easy for people to think too highly of the one who brings God's Word to them, but a minister who is truly preaching Jesus will make it clear, as Peter did, that Jesus is the only one to be worshiped.
