And when he had considered [the thing], he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.
Note 9 at Ac 12:12: Mark's mother, Mary, was also Barnabas' sister (Col 4:10). That made John Mark, Barnabas' nephew (see Life for Today Study Bible Notes, Introduction to Mark, About the Author).
