Acts 13:33
Previous Verse
Acts 13:33
Next Verse

God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

Note 11 at Acts 13:33: Paul quotes from Ps. 2:7 and applies this verse to the resurrection of Jesus. Therefore, Ps. 2:7 is not referring to the incarnation of Jesus into human form as the son of Mary, but rather the resurrection of Jesus when He was begotten from the dead. The "this day" is not referring to the time in Bethlehem but the resurrection morning.
