Next Verse

But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium.

Note 3 at Acts 13:51: Iconium was an important city in the province of Galatia. Paul visited this city on his first (here-14:5, 21), second (16:1-4), and third (18:23) missionary journeys. Paul ministered boldly in the synagogue there for a long time (14:3) and saw a multitude of Jews and Gentiles converted (14:1). Many signs and wonders were performed by Paul and Barnabas there (14:3) and yet they had to flee the city because of persecution (14:5-6).
