The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
Note 1 at Acts 14:9: Paul used this man's faith to effect this healing. It is a misconception that only the person administering the healing has to have faith. The person receiving the healing has to have some degree of faith too (see note 5 at Acts 3:16, p. 586; note 2 at Lk. 7:13, p. 173; note 2 at Mk. 6:5, p. 219; note 4 at Jn. 5:8, p. 151).
