And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as [he did] unto us;
Note 1 at Ac 15:8: Once again, the baptism of the Holy Spirit was used as a proof of salvation. This is because only those who have already been born again can receive the Holy Spirit (see note 27 at Joh 14:17).
