Acts 17:5
Previous Verse
Acts 17:5
Next Verse

But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people.

Note 4 at Ac 17:5: This passage is the only mention of Jason in Scripture, unless the Jason mentioned in Ro 16:21 was the same man. That would make him a relative of the Apostle Paul. Jason was apparently Paul's host while he was in Thessalonica (Ac 17:7), and because of his hospitality to Paul and Silas, he was arrested by the civil leaders and only released after posting bail (Ac 17:9).
