Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.
Note 2 at Acts 17:12: The word "therefore" is linking the fact that many believed with the fact that these people were diligent to search the scriptures to find for themselves the truths that Paul was preaching. The Lord uses others to bring His truths to us, but it is only when these truths take root in us personally that the Word produces it's true potential (Mk. 4:17, 20).
