Acts 17:30
Next Verse

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

Note 6 at Acts 17:30: This verse reflects the fact that God's judgment will be according to the revelation that a man has (see note 5 at Lk. 12:48, p. 331). God put an intuitive knowledge of Him into every man so that they are without excuse (Rom. 1:18-20). However, God was still extending mercy to them but now that the express image of God has been revealed in Jesus (Heb. 1:3), man's accountability has increased and so will his judgment if he changes this truth into a lie and serves idols (Rom. 1:25).
